This term in computers class we learned quite a bit, we learned about how to use the internet for educational purpose and for fun but we also learned about how there are hidden dangers on the internet and we need to be cautious and aware of what is out there in a sea of information.

Technology is becoming very important in recent years it seems that the people nowadays almost cannot function without their iPod or cell phone.  It has become very important in recent years, I remember when a few people had iPod and now it is one of the most popular devices in the world. I feel that the rate at which were going we will have some very big ideas that will change the world. Because if you look at the technology it has been rapid in the last five years from the first iPod to the Iphone  

School is a great place for technology because it allows the interactions between the students and the teachers to be more simplified we have used several kinds of technology in our school we have used regular computers, and cameras, microphones and several other things. But we the student body use different technology and for different things. We use iphones to play games not to find out information on the laws of the internet.  But it’s not a bad difference it’s just different.

I’m sure that there are some things in this class that I learned that I will never use in real life that I learned in this class some of the things about Google readers and other things that are social bookmarking websites. I don’t have anything against these devices but I don’t like them in general. My favorite unit was the podcasting unit I liked the unit because it was the most interesting  and there was stuff that we could learn about and there is always new stuff.

sea otters

the podcast I watched was about sea otters and the environments they live in and how the monterey bay aquarium and how other aquariums can help to make the lives of sea otters easier by providing a constant food supply and safety from predators. The podcast is from the perspective of the trainer who loves her job because she gets to work with animals and it’s fun. I learned that animals in the wild have much more trouble than somewhat domesticated animals like those who live in aquariums I like podcasts because they have valid information about fun or important topics.

steve jobs didnt like the small tablets he thought that teh ideal size was for the tablet to be bigger than 9 inches jobs was very much aghents teh small tablets he thought that you may as well give the purchaser sand paper so they could widdle down their fingers so they can hit the bottons. apple is looking into a smaller sized tablet around eight inches  or seven inches. the smaller i pads could be more portable so they could be useful. this is agenst what steve jobs would have wanted.

blabberize vs vokie

Ok so the first website we used yesterday was voki and I found it to be very hard to use because you could only select from a small group of people to use as bases for the voki and then you couldn’t change them very much so it was hard to make them look like you. Then over yesterday and today we did this other website called blabbarize which was really cool website you take a picture of a person or persons and you make their mouths move and use your voice in its place I thought that was the coolest of the two websites I would only use the blabbarize again.

online safety is important in everyday internet use. you need to know certain things about what to do and what not to do. the first thing you shouldnt do is hand out personal information. or post pictures of your self, and dont hand out your password to anyone because they might use your accounts. dont respond to any thing random people say to you if they insult you dont insult them back it will only spur them on. practice good nettiquette meaning you should only post things if you know they dont contain anything that would hurt peoples feelings dont post flame bait it will make people fight. the main thing you need to do

Netiquette is social etiquette online it’s the unwritten rule of politeness online. It affects everyone you come into contact with online. Examples of good netiquette are not posting bad pictures, not swearing or using bad grammar, not posting flame bait and not breaking the law. Examples of bad netiquette are swearing, posting mean or derogatory comments, breaking the law, bullying, not sharing information on a knowledgeable topic

social networking is a website or a group that allows you to cummunicate with people online you can communicate with multiple people at one time like facebook, or one on one like a chat room they can feature pictures videos and information about the people you are talking with. a digital footprint is everything that you have made that has been put out onto the internet your pictures, anything you have typed information from sports and schools. almost everything you put out there that can be traced back to you. having a social network can inpact your digital footprint bo organizeing all of your personal information in one place and it can help people to find you faster if they are looking for you it also adds to the footprint.

what is copyright?  copyright is when you use something that is made by someone else without premission. like illegaly downloading music or watching a movie without paying for it. basicaly you cannot use anything made by someone else with out premission from the creator. copyright applies to music, films, books or anything written, artistic, and other things created by the mind. in order to copy or display these works you need to credit the author or get premission or you need to buy the rights to it. but there are things that are not protected names, titles, methods and improv speeches  these can be used by people freely and easily. infringement of a copyright can include jail sentences and fines it would make sense not to violate copyright.

queen produced the song under pressure in 1980 and vanilla ice also produced a song with a similar beat in 1990  but  there was no lawsuit filed it is assumed that vanilla ice agreed to pay queen and David Bowie a settlement because of queens knowledge of the happenings. but it was never settled in court.

research power-point wrap up

i thought that the PowerPoint didn't go so well because i was the last to present that hour so i was rushed towards the end. and i had trouble with saving my PowerPoint it was kind of stressful from my prospective but it was a fun project it thought it was fun and i would do it again for another class. i so pose my favorite part was learning about the ice hotel it seams like a nice place to stay. and it is very pretty. my least favorite part was that i was rushed but its no big deal. i leaned allot about my country because i had researched the country before but not very in depth. something difficult to research was ales stones which was surprising i thought there would be more about it i think that something fun miss Fowler should have us research would be the wonders of the world and present on them

my year review

the highlight of 2011 was the summer and all the sports that i participated in. i had my first hamburger in more than 5 years and it was delicious i had not liked some foods and tried to stay away from them but i decided to retry them.
my low point was probibly getting a b on my report card last year, kinda sucked.
i probibly would have redone alot of what happened if i was given the chance i always feel like i could do better. my goals for the next year are be a 500 wrestler get all a's and become more in shape. if i was given 100,000 dollars i would buy a small toy hellicopter army and have people in new york chase people arond the streets with them
